Coders are as creative as designers, just in a different way and with different tools and the right tools are the power of a good coder.
Creativity needs small bits of help, you can call them brushes, fonts or vectors if you are a graphic designer but coders call them snippets of code, useful small pieces of code that are sometimes the result of an sleepless night to solve a specific problem.
M Cubed Software developed an application called CodeCollectorPro that works like a code snippets archive, helping the coder to organize, search, use and share them the easy way.

Code snippets can be organized into Groups and each snippet has some informations linked to itself like the coding language and the type of license and you can also use tags that can help in future searches.
The main strenght of CodeCollectorPro is the “Snippet Search” box using which you can quickly find the code snippet you are looking for and copy&paste it into your code.
To use snippets anywhere on your Mac using shortcuts and drag&drop.

CodeCollectorPro comes with many configurable options and preferences.

It can handle virtually any kind of code and organize it by kind and license, you can specify your own type of language or download bundles directly from the Textmate repository.

Setting up a CodeCollectorPro.net account you can enable snippets sharing, choosing between sharing the entire library or even specific groups of snippets.

Also sending a snippet of code via email is as easy as sending one file, no more mess about zip files etc.

I tend to reuse a lot of the same code in different sites I build. I find myself searching through pages and pages of old code to find the pieces I want to reuse in new projects. CodeCollectorPro looks like the ideal solution to expediting this frequent task.

I’m a Web Developer and currently I use text files to save code snippets, naming them with best matching keywords and organised in separate folders named as CSS, HTML, Perl, JavaScript, etc. CodeCollectorPro sounds excellent software to help organise code snippets, easy search and make it a handy tool for developers/programmers on Mac.
I would definitely be interested to make good use of this application if I get a free license.
Thanks
Rajesh
